Hayward L. Gray was one of the sweetest men who ever lived. He loved his family, and they love him! He appreciated everything. He was a kind, gentle man. Everyone who met him instantly loved him. There is no question that he has a special place in Heaven where he has been reunited with his parents and siblings. Hayward had a stroke on June 10, 2008. He died on June 22, 2008 at Life Care Hospital in Plano, Texas. Hayward Lindell Gray was born in Simpson, Illinois on January 28, 1921. He died at the age of 87½. Hayward and Janet Lea Gundelfinger were married on October 20, 1940. Hayward and Jan were married over 67½ years. Hayward and Janet have four children, eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren (including one due in a month). They also have three son-in-laws, one daughter-in-law, and six grandsons-in-law. Hayward L. Gray's funeral was held at 11 am on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75230. Telephone: 214-368-6348.
